I returned to Jacksonville in 2003 after living in Metro Atlanta for almost 15 years where I watched that city transform it's downtown and historic neighborhoods and see the progress that Jacksonville is making. I've always been a fan of historic homes, having lived in Avondale/Riverside as a child, I watch my parents renovate a 1919 Saxlebye and Marsh home on Riverside Ave when most of Jacksonville had abandoned that neighborhood. That's why it made sense for us to move into the Historic Springfield neighborhood when we returned to Jacksonville.
